Project 365 - Day 61
Played outside with Punkin yesterday, she was so funny, running and giggling. After I dropped her off to her mom I got sucked into the only shows I watch for the week. So I decided to upload today. Here is Day 61.

Project 365 - Day 60
Several years back on a trip to Galveston I bought these shell chimes, I love them. In fact I have two more, one in the bathroom and one more in the bedroom (my room is a light, pretty beach like room, aquas and whites). I get fantastic light thru the windows during the morning and afternoon. I was sitting on the bed waiting for Meagan to call, I'm supposed to pick Ky up later, anyway I was looking at this chime, watching the light on it when it occurred to me that this would be Day 60.

Project 365 - Day 59
In the town I call home there is an old historic movie theater and up until a month ago it was open for business. It has closed, I love the sign out front and the way it looked at night, I even took a picture once for a class I was in. I got to town just as the sun was sitting, headed to get Kyleigh and noticed my old theater so quiet and sad. Truly it was a landmark and I'm sad to see it closed. Here is Day 59.

Project 365 - Day 58
For about a month now I have noticed a little sign on the right just as you pull out of the gate leaving in the morning. I just assumed it wasn't a realty sign because there is one just a little bit down for some land across from the lake. Today as I drove out I actually read it, it wasn't a realty sign it was a way different sign. Here is Day 58.

Project 365 - Day 57
Today I decided to do the self portrait in the windows from work, I'm never wild about seeing me in pictures especially on purpose but I thought this one was ok. Here is Day 57...

Getting ready for Valentines Day
Ky didn't really want to have her picture taken, lately she has been flat onry about me and my camera. I did find a couple keepers in the stack.
Project 365 - Day 56
Yesterday before leaving to go home I noticed at the bottom right corner by the time on my computer was a tiny little picture of the hard drive with a little yellow caution sign with an exclamation point flashing on it...........so I rolled my cursor over it 'the hard drive system may fail' pops up, yikes! I immediately moved everything to the external hard drive, I mean everything I could think of got moved. Today I called corporate and asked what to do, they instantly asked 'do you have everything saved?', I said yes, he said pat yourself on the back because most people aren't that lucky. Whew!! Apparently a defect in the hard drive has caused, now, a crash so corporate will be handling the repairs. I am working on the ol laptop, slow but it's working :) In honor of the near miss here is Day 56, my ol faithful.

Project 365 - Day 55
On Sundays when I take Ky back to her Mom we have to pack a few things for the short ride there, lately she has been in love with her Flickas. Last night we took Katie's horse Flicka and the two baby Flickas with us. When she gets out of the car I promise that her Flickas will be ok and waiting for her on Friday when Gigi comes back. I always get a little down after dropping her off, it's so quiet in the car. This morning I open the passenger door to put my things in the seat and there to greet me were her Flickas, I stopped and smiled thinking how great it was that the Flickas could comfort me until I see Ky again. Here is Day 55.

Project 365 - Day 54
Today I took Diego outside looking for the photo of the day, even Ky came with us (she didn't want her picture taken though). I took pictures of trees and things I hadn't noticed before about the trees in the backyard, which reminds me I need to ask Randy what that big ol vine is. So for the second day in a row as I was walking in Hank (the cat) was sitting in the door way wondering what I was up too. I took pictures of him real quick yesterday because his eyes were glowing in the light from the door, so today I asked Nick to pick him up, hold him next to the open door so I could take pictures. This is the first photo, I'm not sure but I think Hank is mocking me.....mmmmmmmmmm. Here is Day 54.

I love Textures...
I wasn't wild about this photo because of the flash I used but I think with the texture it has saved it from the dumpster :)
Ky and one of her birthday presents, Penny the Pig :)
Project 365 - Day 52
I walked around the outside of the office, it is coooold, but found little inspiration today. I found the sun peeking thru this tree and decided to make it the picture of the day, here is Day 52.
Day 52
I did play with more textures and old photos today too, here are a couple ;)
Sweet baby K
Ky did not want to smile for Diego. She said No smiles for Gigi today.

Project 365 - Day 51
Yesterday I locked myself out of the house, all I had was my coat, camera and the key to my car. After about 15 minutes of trying to get into the house, and 15 minutes more of trying to get Rider on the phone, I gave up and drove to work without my purse, money or license. Today I remembered everything and did not lock myself out but I felt it neccessary to make my bag the subject of Day 51.

More playing around :)
Seriously someone should stop me :) This is a picture I took of Kimber but I didn't like the background, the texture helped me out with that. I know that I can't send a world of photos out all textured and actioned up but for now I am having fun :)

Project 365 - Day 50
First I can not believe I have been doing this for 50 days!! Time is sailing by and these pictures are making me take note of that!!
Today for lunch I walked down in the walk area in front of the building, it has a long walkway with benches and trees, really pretty. As I walked I saw squirrels and birds darting around everywhere. Winter may have killed all the green leaves and plants but that wooded area is alive with birds and squirrels! I sat for a few minutes, then decided that I needed to get a picture of one of the birds for the picture of the day, that and to ask what they are? The gals here at work are saying a robin..........I'm clueless but I'll go with that :) Here is one of the fat birds of many in Day 50.

Playing around for lunch break....
This is Kyleigh with me in Moody Gardens butterfly house, a friend, Connie, put the butterfly on her, she looooved it, I honestly don't know how I got this picture because I was so excited about her holding this butterfly, she looked and looked at it, was so careful. I know I have posted this photo on the FB before but I pulled it out of the old ranks to play with today. I used a texture and multiple actions. What do you think?

For Toni and Marina :)
Toni and her daughter, Marina went on a cruise this past December while they were there Toni used her brand new Nikon named Destiny to take this picture of Marina. They were kind enough to let me play with some of them, this was my favorite :)

Project 365 - Day 48
About 15 years ago I stopped at an estate sale close to the house, it had all the usual older things but I spotted these cameras. I bought them just because they called to me but I had no idea why. For years I used them as decoration but when we moved to East Texas I packed them away and didn't pull them out again. Over the weekend I was reading a camera book and thought 'Hey, I've got some old cameras somewhere'. I found them packed away in a dresser in my room, they were the kind of thing that I wouldn't get rid of but I hadn't quite figured out what I wanted them for...............now I know. I wanted to know more about them so I looked online: the Kodak Brownie Hawkeye with Flash, introduced in May 1949, discontinued in July 1961, Cost was 5 bucks, 7 bucks with the flash. Kodak Duaflex Camera / Kodet Lens, introduced in the US December 1949, discontinued in 1955, Cost was around 12 bucks,(it has printed on the top that it uses Kodak film 620), it had alot of accessories.
I am sure to learn more about them, even if I never use them I am very happy to have them and day dream about the vacations they may have been on, or the people they have seen. Here is Day 48.

Project 365 - Day 45
We ended up having Kyleigh with us all yesterday and this morning, before I took her back to her mom, I took a few pictures in the last of the snow on Randy's flatbed trailer (can't stand that he has that thing in the drive way!!). She was upset because she didn't want to get up this morning, she didn't want to brush her teeth, she didn't want to wear her boots, she didn't want to blow dry her hair, she didn't want to do time out for throwing Penny the Pig on the floor, she didn't want to put her coat on, she didn't want to be a good girl when Gigi said don't you want to be a good girl...............but after we got thru all that and outside on the porch, she saw the bits of snow, kinda perked up, got to look at the goldfish in the little pond, I might have seen a smile, then Gigi let her kick and play in the snow on the flatbed............there's that smile I love!! Little punkin is Day 45 :)

Winter Wonderland
A few more winter scenes before it's all gone.
Ky, with her pink boots on the wrong feet :)
K's first snow :)
Loving the snow.
Thank goodness for the bumbo seat.
Monkey in the snow :)
Project 365 - Day 42
Today I reread Chapter One of Available Light for the my photo lesson this week, did that for lunch. It's really, really cold outside so taking a picture of what I'm doing seemed warmer than going outside on a photo hunt :) Here is Day 42.

Project 365 - Day 40 and Day 41
Eastern Texas doesn't get snow that often but this weekend we got a big ol snow storm. It was awesome, well awesome from my standpoint :) I loooove the snow!! It was heavy and wet, wet but still too fun for me and taking pictures. I took pictures of Kyleigh and her second snow, Kimber and her first snow and then all the trees :) I'm so irritated with myself, the Ky and K pictures are a tick over exposed, grrrrr!!! So I used scenery for days 40 and 41.
Day 40

Project 365 - Day 39
Today we loaded up and headed to Dallas Market Hall for a fishing expo, the first 250 kids there got a free fishing pole. We did manage to make it there amoung the first 250, so Kyleigh and Kimber got free fishing poles, very fun!! While we were there we discovered the Kids area, they had fishing, wall climbing and a jumping bungee thing. Kyleigh wanted to jump!! I mean really wanted to jump!! We waited in a line for about 15 minutes, got up there, the man said she'll do fine, she's not too small at all :) He collected the 8 dollar fee, Randy and Rider went in with her, she was buckled into the harness, then they crank the tension, she was squealing and giggling when it lifted her off the mat. Then he grabbed the cord on the front of her harness, pulled her down to the mat and let go, off she went laughing and squealing the whole time!!! She had a crowd of people watching her, higher, higher she would yell. It was so fun watching her have that much fun! So naturally this photo is Day 39.
Day 39
The next three are bonuses, I just couldn't not post them :)

Project 365 - Day 38
There's one tree amoung all the trees here at work that has managed to hang on to it's leaves, they're a beautiful rust color, I look at it every morning before I walk in the doors, here is Day 38.
